In 2014 my oldest daughter was in a TERRIBLE car accident. She was life flighted from the accident scene with a compound fracture to her left tibia but otherwise okay. A passerby stopped to help and my daughter asked if she would make a call to her family in NH which she agreed to do. Bravely she made a call no mother EVER wants to receive. She explained that my daughter was okay but was pretty banged up. She told me yet didn't tell me the alarming details. Not only did this kindhearted woman make that difficult call but for hours after she took several calls from other family members.
Knowing that while I was on vacation in Arizona I would be in the area where the accident occurred, I tracked the woman down. I contacted her and we made plans to meet so that I could properly thank her. I'm excited that in just a couple days I will FINALLY get to meet her and present her with this angel. The heart represents my daughter and the angel is of course her because that's what I truly believe her to be...an angel. |

Finished this just in time to make it into my suitcase so that I could bring it with me to Arizona. I will be meeting the mother of my oldest daughter’s boyfriend for the first time. As a single mother I can relate to the struggles she went through raising two kids on her own. There will always be ups and downs and lots of rough days in the middle but despite the headaches. Hope she likes it!!

I was asked by my cousin to create a special piece for his sister-in-law who was preparing for a really scary surgery. He told me she loved mermaids and I had him send a picture so that I could try matching the mermaid’s hair to look like hers. Here's the end result! Now thanks to my cousin, I'm up to my gills in mermaid orders!!
